Deciding of the perfect Christmas gymnastic gift for your child is not an easy task.
Three factors must be considered:
1. Age of the gymnast / skill level.
2. Gender of the gymnast.
3. Usefulness of the gymnastic gift.
1. Age of the gymnast/skill level
Skill level and/or age of the gymnast may determine; for example- the thickness of the tumbling mat. A gymnast performing back handsprings may be need 2” thick folding gym mats –vs- a gymnast learning cartwheels may settle for a 1-3/8” thick gym mat.
2. Gender of the gymnast,
Parents really don’t need advice here. Of course balance beams, leotard, pads for balance beams are for girls. Mini-rings, Ultra-Dome, Colt Pommel Horse Trainer, Fundamental Low Parallel Bars are for boys.
Back handspring machines, incline mats, ballet bars, Boulder back handspring trainers, exercise mats, folding gym mats, can be purchased for girls or boys.
3. The usefulness is determined by how long the gymnast or dancer will use the gift. Don't under challenge the gymnast. Purchase a larger back handspring, thicker mat, longer balance beam pad so the full scope of basic through advanced movements can be practiced, learned and perfected. CWF Flooring, Inc. does not want the gift to be out grown before its time. |
